About the Retreat
This 4-day, 3-night retreat includes two daily Iyengar yoga classes, Ayurvedic food, and lifestyle practices for the summer season. Mornings will be in silence to encourage reflection. There will be a morning and evening meditation, which participants may attend.
We will be nourished by balanced, home-cooked meals inspired by
Ayurvedic principles.
This retreat is open to anyone who wishes to deepen their yoga practice and learn and adopt self-care practices from Ayurvedic wisdom.

Retreat Leaders
Yoga Classes will be taught by Sandy Lamerson and Yvonne Mayshark. Yvonne and Sandy will lead discussions on Ayurvedic lifestyle food and herbs as well as yoga philosophy discussions.

The Location
The retreat will take place at a private retreat center approximately 20 miles north of Fort Bragg, CA.
The retreat center is situated on a hill that overlooks the Mendocino Coast. There are hiking trails, redwood groves, and open meadows.
Upon registration, you will receive directions and more information about the retreat land and facility.

The Food and Accomodations
Accommodations options include double rooms, private/shared rooms and/or tent cabins, and camping on the land. All meals will be sattvic vegetarian and prepared on site and made with fresh organic ingredients. When registering you can indicate any dietary restrictions and preferences. Sandy Lamerson
Certified Level 2 Iyengar Yoga Teacher, Ayurvedic Health Couneslor
Sandy Lamerson (she/her) is a Level 2 Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher and a NAMA Board Certified Ayurvedic Health Counselor. Sandy has been a student of yoga and meditation for nearly two decades. Her study and practice of Ayurveda informs her yoga teaching and way of life. She appreciates the quiet, deep practice and connection with nature that a retreat can offer. Her classes are accessible and welcoming, balancing the physical and the internal dimensions of practice. Sandy teaches yoga classes and offers Ayurvedic consultations in Ukiah and online. Yvonnne Mayshark
Herbalist, Yoga Teacher in the Asthanga Yoga Tradition, Ayurveda Specialist
Yvonne Mayshark is a trained in Clinical Herbalism, Ayurveda, Hatha Yoga, and yoga philosophy. She is the owner and founder of Bhoomi Herbs, an online apothecary offering herbal and Ayurvedic remedies. She teaches yoga and herbalism classes in Mendocino County, CA.

Who is this retreat for?
This retreat is open to anyone interested in deepening their yoga practice and finding balance by following an Ayurvedic diet and lifestyle.
The natural setting is an ideal environment conducive to rest, reflection and spiritual practice.
What can I expect?
We have a practice schedule that you are invited to participate in. The afternoons have a 3-hour block of unstructured time, which you may rest, practice, go hiking, connect with like-minded people, or be in silence.
What should I bring?
You will receive a packing list upon registering for the retreat.
What if I am new to yoga/or have injuries and limitations?
You are welcome. Please describe any physical or other issues on the registration form. In each yoga class, there will be a teacher and an assistant to help with modifications.
What is the food like?
The food will be prepared according to vegetarian Sattvic Ayurvedic principles: fresh, warm, organic, seasonal, and vegetarian with the use of dairy products. There will be options for dairy-free and gluten-free. Eggs will be available. Tea, coffee, fruit, and snacks will be available throughout the day. Please indicate your dietary restrictions and preferences on the registration form.
How do I register and pay?

Do you have scholarships/Payment plans?
We do offer payment plans. Please inquire if needed. If you have financial need and cannot afford the retreat, let us know, and we may be able to find a solution.
What is the refund policy?
Refunds, special circumstances/emergencies will be considered on an individual basis.
